Live from Colombia: Porphyria on TV
Our dear friends at the Fundación Colombiana Para la Porfiria/Colombian Porphyria Foundation are working to raise awareness of porphyria in their country and have sent the following important request for Monday, May 4:
"Dear Patients, Family & Friends,
"I hope you are all in good health.
"I would like to tell you about Father Chucho and his program Cure for the Soul (Cura Para el Alma) on Channel RCN, who invited us to record a program called You Can Live with Porphyria. The program will air on Monday, May 4 at 10:30am. We need good ratings so we can be invited to other programs. Please watch if you can!"
We at the APF hope those who have satellite or other means of watching the program will tune in. One caller from Colombia told us recently that "Porphyria can still be a death sentence" there because of the lack of knowledge about the disease. So please, help our friends save lives and improve healthcare for others with porphyria!
